Even though momma keeps saying “It’s spring!” there was some snow this morning. I don’t mind it. That stuff is fun to eat.
Unlike me, my brother doesn’t always appreciate the finer things in life. I LOVE to stand in the wind, letting it ruffle my ears and tickle my tail. He gets a little irritable in windy weather. Rain doesn’t bother me a bit and I’ll frolic just like on a sunny day. He runs for the nearest shelter at the first raindrop. The one form of precipitation that both my brother and I love is SNOW. This winter we discovered just how fun the white stuff could be when our momma created a maze for us.
Momma must love the snow too. Every time there’s a lot of it she’s out there playing in it with this big, loud machine that throws the stuff all over. We never get to play with the snow monster, but that’s okay because it doesn’t look very friendly. This winter when the ground was totally covered, and too deep for me to explore the yard anymore, momma took a big spoon and started moving snow without the snow monster. It took quite awhile, but when she was done she let us outside. The snow had gone away in a few places and we had a great racetrack! My brother and I chased each other around the path. Momma had taken our egg toys outside, filled them with treats, and put them along the path too! Tad Cooper and I raced to find all the treats. I’ll admit he might have found a few more treats than I did, but I was having too much fun dancing in the snow.
I can’t wait until the snow comes back again so momma can make us another snow play area. Even though there wasn’t snow last weekend we got to use our egg toys again. We had an egg hunt to celebrate Easter! Easter was last weekend, but the weather was a little too damp for my overly sensitive brother so we had to wait for our hunt. It didn’t take us long! Tad Cooper found 8 eggs and I found 3. He may have gotten more eggs than I did, but I snatched a few of the treats out of his eggs once he opened them. That’s what good sisters do. It was the least he could do for me after trying to run me over in my bunny costume.
