Another dachshund birthday party! I can’t believe I’ve already reached the ripe old age of two. It’s been a month of celebrations. First, we had cupcakes for my birthday on the 8th. Then we had cupcakes on the 16th for my sister’s birthday. And just last weekend we had cupcakes again for a birthday party celebrating both of us! I really love the cupcakes though, so I think we should keep this celebration thing going. Look at these things, who wouldn’t love them?

Carrot, honey, and peanut butter cupcakes with peanut butter frosting and BACON!
Our last celebration included lots of our human friends and they all brought gifts. Nothing beats a day full of new toys! After my recent Trick Dog achievements, everyone thought I should have a puzzle toy. This thing is awesome, and I’m happy to say I figured it out in barely any time at all.

Working on the puzzle game all by myself.
Momma won’t let me play with the puzzle game on my own, which is disappointing. I’m sure if she left me alone long enough I could chew off the bone levers, and then the treats would always be visible. I’ve already left a mark on one of them even though she’s always saying “no chew” when I try to implement my awesome plan. Sometimes momma’s are a real pain.
I’m not sure one puzzle will be enough to keep me busy all summer though. Momma told us that classes are cancelled for the summer due to construction, and I’m super bummed. I’ve started working on new tricks so when classes start again in the fall I’m ready to become an Advanced Trick Dog. Until then I’ll just have to keep learning and hope I’m ready by fall!
