Perhaps it’s just my love of balls speaking, but I’m a HUGE college football fan. That’s a little weird right? A dachshund football fan? It took a little bit of persuasion to get momma to really invest in my love of football. I’m not sure why she had trouble believing me since I’m such a big treibball athlete. Before the season started she finally got the drift and picked up some game gear for us to be able to watch the games in style.

Rocking my new University of Michigan outfit

My bro trying to look as cool as me
The way I see it, football is the less cool, human equivalent of treibball. It’s not as cool as treibball because there’s only one ball. Why would you have a game with only one ball? It seems like maximum ball number is the way to go with any game. As far as I’m concerned, treibball should have ten balls instead of eight. I’m getting a little off topic though, back to football. Despite the lack of balls, it’s still pretty neat. At first I was a little iffy cheering for University of Michigan. Momma adopted me from Spartan territory, after all. It didn’t take me long to realize “go green” wasn’t going to go over in my new house unless I was referring to how momma dealt with our recycling. Switching to “go blue” was pretty easy. I mean they all play with a ball.
Tad Cooper is just as crazy about football as I am. We both watch the games pretty intently. We’ve discussed it, and we’re trying to figure out why some people throw the ball. Now when they grab it and run, we get that 100%. Everyone should want to keep the ball. We like to keep the ball when momma is playing with us. Sometimes it’s just more fun to take off across the yard with it rather than have her throw it again.
It’ll be fun to see how this season goes. I think our team will win big this year. How could they not when they have two super cute dachshunds cheering for them?
