Happy belated holidays!

Two dachshunds on a dog couch

Wow, time does fly when you’re having fun! Sis and I have been busy enjoying time with momma and playing with our new toys. Christmas is the best. Even though we didn’t have snow to play in this year (I’m sure we’ll get some soon), we had a blast! Mema made us a stack of new flannel blankets, we got tons of new toys, and we got a couch. Yep. We are now sitting in style.

I think it’s a little crowded with two of us on there. I prefer to stretch out on my own so sometimes I push sister off and make her use the old bed. Hey, a guy has to have his space! Sometimes I let her have the couch all to herself too, so it’s fair. I’m a nice brother like that.

There’s a little story behind how we got the couch. It wasn’t just a gift, it was a prize! We wanted to help others (isn’t that what the holidays are all about?) and donated to a local dachshund rescue. They had a raffle and we won! The couch was the prize. I have to say, I really like helping out my fellow dachshunds.

As if it wasn’t cool enough that we got a couch, momma found us dragons! I got the biggest dragon and sister got a little one. They’re not very intimidating, so far as dragons go, but they’re fun! Tigerlily loves to run around the living room squeaking hers. She likes to hide behind the furniture with it so I can’t take it, which is kind of silly. I could totally get it from her if I wanted it.

I hope everyone had a great holiday season and got all the squeaky toys they had on their list! I’m looking forward to a new year of puppy dragon fun. I’d really like to get my AKC Advanced Trick Dog title this year, and maybe take a few other new classes, or brush up on my canine freestyle moves. I’m sure it’s going to be another wonderful year to be a puppy dragon!
